Press release from the issuing company
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Feb. 4 -- Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Aficio 2232C and Aficio 2238C, the newest additions to Ricoh's "Black to Color" product line. These multifunction systems allow users to print, copy or scan in either black and white or full color-without the expense associated with a stand-alone color device.
"While color has become an integral part of business, there has yet to be any other products that have combined the proven technology of a black and white device with the convenience of color," said Hede Nonaka, vice president of marketing for Ricoh Corporation. "With the introduction of the Aficio 2232C and Aficio 2238C, customers now have a productive and affordable entry into color."
The Aficio 2232C/2238C join the existing Aficio 1224C and Aficio 1232C products resulting in a full line offering, meeting different price and performance points. In addition to copying, printing, and network scanning functionality, the new systems include an 80-sheet automatic reversing document feeder, duplex unit, 1,100 sheets of paper capacity, 768MB of RAM, and 80GB hard disk drive capacity. Customers can increase functionality and capability with the optional fax unit, paper supply, and document finishing, including a booklet finisher.
The Aficio 2232C/2238C have also incorporated all the newest Document Software Solutions such as embedded scan-to-email, scan-to-folder, scan-to-FTP, LDAP support with SMTP, Internet faxing and inbound/outbound paperless faxing-all in full color. The Aficio 2232C/2238C are fully configured and ready for production straight out of the box.
