Carpe Data announces installation of JOBZ! at Cal Poly

Press release from the issuing company

Campbell California - Carpe Data, publisher of workflow software for Printing Sales, Management and Production, announced the installation of JOBZ! in the Cal Poly Graphic Communication Department.

With this installation, the student staff of University Graphic Systems will be able to organize their workflow, from a job's initial Request for Estimate to the final Billing Draft, and keep everyone on the same page throughout the product's manufacturing cycle with status reports and schedules.

"The students needed a way to keep track of job and customer information, and process their paperwork just as much as any printing company," said Jim Taylor, President of Carpe Data and developer of JOBZ! "We're very happy to help them out."

"The fact is, University Graphic Systems is a microcosm of the real world, with all the same issues," Jim said. "You have customers, from both on and off-campus, that you need to keep track of and communicate with. And you have jobs, lots of jobs, that all need specifying, and pricing, and quoting, and work orders and changes, and you need to know what's ready for press today, and all those kinds of things."
