Leading Business Planning Program Expanded to include MPS/MS In June 8th-9th Program

Press release from the issuing company

Bryn Mawr, PA - Strategy Development, a leading management consulting and advanced sales training firm, along with BTA, is conducting their re-vamped BTA Business Planning Workshop on June 8-9, 2011 in Baltimore.  This comprehensive program has been updated to include a focus on MPS/MS planning.

Developed and taught by industry veterans Tom Callinan and Ed Carroll of Strategy Development, this two-day educational workshop's sole purpose is to set the framework for your team to develop an operational business plan.  "All too often we see dealerships starting up MPS/MS programs who are not putting the proper processes in place to ensure success," stated Callinan.  "With clearly defined goals and a methodic approach learned in this workshop, dealerships will be able to form a solid business plan that they can effectively execute and in the process, form a more cohesive team approach to managing their business."

Attendees who enroll by May 6th will receive a $500 early bird discount off the $2,995 member tuition, which includes three attendees from the same dealership.  It is recommended that the attendees include the president/owner along with the leaders of service and sales.  Additional attendees are $795.  In addition to the early bird special, BTA members can also apply their $150 discount coupon received with their membership toward this workshop.

Using the case study approach, attendees will learn how to use the Strategy Development Scorecard, industry statistics, and a company's SWOT analysis as the foundation of the planning process.  Some of the other topics covered include a review of the three major financial statements, cash management, and developing commitment action documents.   The program will include a specific focus to launching or improving a managed print services (MPS) / managed services (MS) strategy. The final step in the training will be how to put in place a monthly operational process to ensure attainment of the goals, or where necessary, mid-course adjustments.

Callinan added that "this is the only comprehensive program offered in the industry that dives deep into the operational processes necessary to run a successful and profitable MPS/MS business.  In today's fluctuating economic times it is more important than ever to have a concrete business plan."

The BTA Business Planning Workshop has been met with rave reviews:

"This workshop gave our management team the tools needed to complete a quality business plan that will bring positive interaction and results," said Ron Carr, President of Oklahoma Office Systems Inc.

"Not only did this workshop demonstrate the urgent need for a solid business plan due to industry trends, it helped define what we need to consider in our plan, provides tools to roll it out and measures our effectiveness," stated Astrid Sloan of OASYS Inc. in Burlington, WA.
