Effects of the Pacific Ocean earthquake on Agfa Graphics

Press release from the issuing company

In a reaction to the recent earthquake in Japan, Agfa Graphics expresses its deep condolences to the victims and their families who suffered from the earthquake of March 11th and sincerely hopes for swift recovery of the people and areas affected.

The status of the damages by and the effects of the earthquake to Agfa Graphics, as assessed at the time of the disclosure, are as follows:

- Impact on the Company's facilities and its employees

None of employees of our company was directly hit by the natural disaster. Most of the Agfa sites in Japan are located in and around Tokyo or in the south of the country.

Impact on production sites, sales organizations and key suppliers

Plates and Film
Agfa Graphics does not have any manufacturing plants in Japan so there is no direct impact and, at this stage, we are not aware of any raw material supplies that will be affected. In the latter event, our policy of dual sourcing and emergency stocks should enable us to continue the production without problems.

Commercial CtP equipment
A part of Agfa Graphics' equipment is manufactured in Japan at a plant in Kyoto. This is in the south of Japan, away from the earthquake area. Although some disruption is inevitable until power etc. is fully restored, we do not envisage any issues on meeting our promised delivery schedules at this stage.
