RSA announces WSPR for WebCRD OnDemand

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - Rochester Software Associates (RSA), provider of production print workflow software solutions for in-plants and corporate print centers, announces WSPR (Web Service Printing Remotely- pronounced "whisper"), a new RSA technology to allow RSA's Hosted WebCRD (WebCRD OnDemand) customers to save time, network and IT resources using the WSPR client to securely print to local production print centers without IT involvement or fire wall changes.

RSA has always provided hosted WebCRD OnDemand customers with the same software as the on-site WebCRD solution at a low entry cost. Now, customers using WebCRD OnDemand with WSPR technology will be able to more rapidly deploy our Web-to-print solution without needing network infrastructure changes to firewalls, security concerns, or the need to involve IT.

The WSPR client is a small footprint PC-based application with a simple interface. When the PC is connected to the Internet and running, the WSPR client automatically retrieves print ready files from RSA's hosted WebCRD OnDemand and submits them to a local production print devices or workflow software, releasing them exactly as they would if WebCRD was installed locally.

Vince Tutino, WebCRD Product Manager, noted "In addition to the savings that WSPR will provide our WebCRD OnDemand customers, WSPR will also increase print center efficiency and employee productivity by eliminating manual file handling by print center personnel."

WSPR technology will be available as part of WebCRD OnDemand in summer, 2011. RSA's workflow solutions are available through RSA's partners and directly from RSA. For more information, visit RSA at www.rocsoft.com/WebCRD and www.rocsoft.com.
