La Cromografica chooses TAOPIX for photo book venture

Press release from the issuing company

Rome-based publishing and communications expert, La Cromografica, has invested in the TAOPIX Photobook platform to launch its new photo book business.

The TAOPIX solution was sold and deployed by Join Srl, the Italian distributor for TAOPIX based in Florence.

Established for over 25 years, La Cromografica is primarily engaged in the printing of magazines, books and catalogues and has successfully diversified into the digital print market to offer short run and personalised print services.

The company is working with a commercial partner to roll out a series of personalised photo book products to many diverse markets via the implementation of multi-channel marketing initiatives.

Says Mr Lorenzo Monaco, for La Cromografica: "We are a longstanding customer of Join and had been looking for an innovative software solution to drive more volume through our HP Indigo digital presses. After the first demonstration of TAOPIX Photobook, we immediately understood the potential of the software and how it could relate to our business, we liked TAOPIX. In particular, we really liked the ability to create multiple brands and way the software allowed us to develop these from a technical perspective."

"At the moment we are working with our commercial partner to implement a sound business plan: we've already had a successful product launch through newspaper, web and newsletter advertising campaigns as well as high profile public displays and search engine marketing. We have a great belief in web marketing and for this we plan to have one campaign directly via Facebook. We are also implementing strategies that will optimise our search engine rankings and therefore provide a return in terms of business volume."

Adds Gregorio Desimone, Technical Director for Join Srl: "We knew from the start that TAOPIX Photobook was going to open lots of doors for La Cromografica. They are a business that is constantly developing new ideas and finding innovative ways to sell new products into new markets. Their plans for photo books go way beyond the standard consumer models and by forming strategic partnerships with some very high profile organisations, they have been able to fully maximise the branding capabilities of TAOPIX."

Concludes Alex Granat, European Commercial Director for TAOPIX: "By developing relationships with brand owners and allowing them to offer their own unique, branded photo book products to their clients, La Cromografica has taken a clear leadership position in this market. They are clearly demonstrating how mutually beneficial these relationships can be and I look forward to their continued success."
