A.B.Dick Expands Titan Presses To U.S. Market

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, IL – A.B.Dick Company announced today it is now offering the new Titan series of four-color landscape offset presses in the U.S. The series consists of four, fully featured presses, including the 8202A and 8202A-I two-tower presses and the 8204A and 8204A-I four-tower models. Combined with the highly successful 4995A-ICS press, the Titan series gives small to medium sized format printers more affordable and productive four-color options than ever before. The company first successfully introduced these presses to the Latin American market a year ago. The 8202A-I and 8204A-I models offer the innovative Ink Control System, which improves productivity by automating the ink fountain setting controls. It significantly reduces labor set-up time while providing consistent ink balance and color repeatability, job after job. “The situation for any small to mid-size printer has improved because the options for doing four-color work are now immensely better,” said Scott MacKenzie, A.B.Dick Vice President of Marketing. “We are ecstatic about the opportunity the Titan series presents, along with our dynamic 4995A-ICS four-color press. Any shop can take their business to another level with one of these presses. If they add a product from our DPM (Digital PlateMaster line), the sky is the limit for printers with complete digital systems.” These powerful presses are designed to deliver superior performance and reliability for short or long run multi-color work. Each series press is equipped with an advanced, 16-roller inking system, including three form rollers, to deliver exceptional print quality for every solid, screen and halftone. A five-roller continuous motorized dampening system comes with a chiller/recirculator. With a maximum print size of 20.47” x 14.37” (520mm x 365mm), each press also offers a semi-automatic blanket cleaner that washes and dries to save time. Operator friendly controls make automatic sequencing and push button operation a snap. A unique streamfeeder allows for accurate registration and a wider variety of paper stocks to be run, and a pre-piling feature lets an operator load paper while the press is running. The Easy Plate Setting (EPS) system allows for quick and accurate metal or polyester plate mounting with no tools, so an operator can greatly reduce make-ready time by hanging a plate in less than one minute.
