Heidelberg's Prinect Color Toolbox Certified G7 compatible by IDEAlliance

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, Ga. – Heidelberg's Prinect Color Toolbox with Gray Balance Optimizer has been officially awarded the IDEAlliance G7  System Certification. The G7 System Certification Program is designed to evaluate the ability of a candidate system to calibrate a printing device to meet the G7 gray scale definition using four 1-D curves.

"This G7 certification further validates the depth and breadth of Heidelberg's longstanding expertise in workflow, color management and equipment," said Jeff Dunham, Product Manager, Prinect Workflow, Heidelberg USA. "As the only company that can support an end-to-end, color-managed workflow from prepress to postpress, Heidelberg offers a variety of solutions to help printers achieve accurate, repeatable color on any press."

Prinect Color Toolbox is a suite of integrated color management solutions for optimizing color and imaging among proofing, plating and press output devices. Automated and tightly integrated into Heidelberg's Prinect workflow, it also can be used as a highly effective standalone solution in any workflow. The Gray Balance Optimizer calibration tool offers a simple way to achieve near neutral calibrations, and also can be used to create reference values for specific substrates, inks or printing processes.

"This is an exciting opportunity for Heidelberg to have their Prinect Color Toolbox G7 System certified.  Heidelberg now has the ability to qualify their customers using the Heidelberg software solution to become G7 Master Qualified," said Joe Fazzi, Vice President Media Production Technologies, IDEAlliance.
