Press release from the issuing company

London – InfoPrint Solutions, a Ricoh company, today announced that it will be exhibiting its newly expanded InfoPrint 5000 production inkjet family for the first time in Europe at Hunkeler Innovation Days, Lucerne, Switzerland, February 14 – 17th, 2011.   InfoPrint Solutions will be joined at the event by its parent company, Ricoh.  Combined exhibits will include InfoPrint's continuous feed full-colour InfoPrint 5000 inkjet press and two of Ricoh's cutsheet production printing solutions: the Ricoh Pro C901 colour and Ricoh 1107EX monochrome digital presses.

During the event, Ricoh will also be demonstrating how its NowPrint web-to-print solutions seamlessly integrate with both continuous feed and cutsheet presses for an innovative approach to production printing that suits printing organisations of all sizes. This event marks the first public showing in Switzerland of the Ricoh Pro C901 since its launch in October of 2010.

InfoPrint's 5000 inkjet family offers customers a choice of three platforms that operate at a variety of speeds, with colour, monochrome and MICR capability, all using proven, scalable, highly reliable drop-on-demand inkjet technology. The modular system design provides customers with configuration flexibility and upgradeability to meet their current and future needs, thereby helping to maximise their investment.

The full range of InfoPrint and Ricoh digital presses to be demonstrated at Hunkeler Innovation Days 2011 includes:

The entry-level InfoPrint 5000 MP (Multi-Purpose) will print colour transactional documents, operating at 64 metres per minute. This new model is designed for businesses that want to begin developing and implementing digital colour applications, such as precision marketing statements and print on-demand.  The MP Colour can be easily converted to run monochrome or MICR.

The InfoPrint 5000 GP (General Production) platform will be producing books at speeds up to 128 metres per minute.  This platform has established industry leadership with a reputation for reliability, print quality, productivity and ease of use.   The InfoPrint 5000 GP can be configured with other members of the family.

The InfoPrint 5000 VP (Volume Platform), operating at up to 220 metres per minute, was launched in September 2010 and will also be at the show running a variety of jobs.   This platform leverages the proven technology of the GP platform and is designed for mission-critical applications with very high volumes and tight print windows.

InfoPrint 100 monochrome laser printer, a low cost, compact continuous form laser printer for printing documents that must remain in page sequence, such as invoices, labels, picking slips and mailings.

The Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, the fastest colour press in its class, printing at rated speeds of 90 A4 ppm on media up to 300 gsm in duplex mode. New chemical (oil-free) PxP toner delivers improved accuracy, reliability, flexibility and ease-of-use with offset-like results. Operator Replaceable Units (ORUs) ensure easy on-site maintenance and maximum uptime.

The Ricoh Pro 1107EX monochrome press, featuring output of up to 110 A4 ppm, a standard 3,000-sheet paper supply with a maximum of 8,050 sheets.
