Creo Expands Integris Proofing Line and Adds Major Enhancements

Press release from the issuing company

Graph Expo 2003 Chicago, IL, USA (September 28, 2003) – Creo Inc. has introduced a new faster Integris proofer model, double-sided printing capability, additional Integris media, color services, and enhanced Profile Wizard software support. These enhancements make the Integris proofing system the most complete drop-on-demand proofing solution on the market. The Integris Proofing Solution features leading drop-on demand inkjet printers integrated with Creo workflow and color control for quality color and imposition proofing. Qualified inkjet printers include the EPSON Stylus Pro wide-format printers, which feature the latest in drop-on-demand, Micro Piezo DX3 technology from EPSON. “By expanding the abilities of the Integris proofing solution and adding additional Integris Qualified printers, more of our customers can take advantage of an integrated and efficient Creo workflow,” said Gil Rosenfeld, Creo product manager. “We are enabling our customers to work with the latest, leading inkjet printers on the market integrated with Creo color, workflow and support.” New Faster Integris Proofing: Integris Qualified EPSON Stylus Pro 10600 Creo is introducing a second Integris 800 (8-up) proofing solution ideal for shops with high proofing volumes. Now customers can select the new Integris Qualified EPSON Stylus Pro 10600 for twice the productivity with a modest reduction in image quality or the Integris Qualified EPSON Stylus Pro 9600 for the best in current drop-on-demand inkjet quality with good productivity. Unique 2-Sided Media Guide Creo has developed a unique 2-Sided Media Guide option—an industry first. This new device allows the Integris 800 with the Epson 10600 to easily print double-sided proofs. This option also makes double-sided printing more repeatable on the Integris 800 with the Epson 9600. A prototype of the Integris 2-Sided Media Guide is being demonstrated for the first time at Graph Expo and will be available for sale on both 4-up and 8-up Integris models later this year. The option can also be added to existing Integris installations for the most accurate two-sided imposition proofs with minimum user intervention. Brisque Proof Agent for Integris Now in beta in North America and showing at Graph Expo, the new Brisque proof agent for Integris adds support for proofing Brisque Imposition jobs in a Brisque environment. Brisque users can now benefit from fast direct connectivity between Integris proofers and the Brisque workflow. This new feature will be available as a patch for existing Integris proofing installations and is expected to be available in the new Integris Proof Controller software upgrade later this year. More Media for Integris The Integris media line has been expanded to meet a wider range of proofing requirements including double-sided imposition proofing. Creo now offers Integris Pro Semi-Matte 180 for high-quality color proofing; Integris 2-Sided Matte 100 for double-sided imposition proofing; and Integris Matte 96 for economical, general-purpose and single-sided imposition proofing. Media are now available for purchase and samples are displayed at Graph Expo. Creo Color Services Creo Color Services are now included with all Integris proofing solutions in North America. A standard, remote, custom-profiling service includes one optimized ICC profile pair or one DeviceLink profile for one combination of target, ink, paper and resolution. Additional remote profiles and onsite custom profiling services are available at additional cost to further optimize the Integris proofer’s simulation of any color target. New Color Management Software Creo has introduced major advances in color management in the latest version of Profile Wizard software. Version 2.6 enhances performance for ICC profiles and provides full support for Integris proofers. Profile Wizard software now supports Mac OS X classic mode, the GretagMacbeth Eye-One spectrophotometer with UV filter, and the Ksmart RGB target measured by GretagMacbeth SpectroScan and X-Rite DTP41. Different upgrade options are available for current Integris customers. See the latest developments for the Integris proofing solution at the Creo booth, #4008, at Graph Expo 2003, until October 1, 2003 in Chicago, IL.
