Standard Register and Zafesoft establish strategic relationship

Press release from the issuing company

Dayton, Ohio & San Jose, Calif. - Standard Register, a leader in document and information management solutions, and Zafesoft, a provider of information security solutions, today announced they have signed an agreement to explore opportunities for leveraging Zafesoft's unique content security technology.

"With Standard Register's focus on healthcare, there is a great natural fit for our technology," said Sandeep Tiwari, CEO of Zafesoft.

"The move to electronic records and data digitization puts much of this sensitive information at risk of loss," said Brad Cates, president for Standard Register Healthcare. "Zafesoft offers a unique capability for assuring content security, which is vitally important in healthcare where there is serious concern about safeguarding patient information."

Under federal regulations, healthcare organizations can face substantial fines for each loss incident of patient health information (PHI). Zafesoft's technology could be used to secure the content in sensitive PHI files, with security that cascades copy and paste iterations as well as proliferation onto a wide variety of media including hard drives, servers, USBs, CDs and e-mails.
