Digital Infrastructures Integrates Adobe PDF Transit Into Their Deliveryserver Platform

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, IL. – September 27, 2003 – Digital Infrastructures Inc. announces their DeliveryServer platform has integrated Adobe PDF Transit to create a powerful, Adobe PDF workflow process. Print Facilities can now offer their clients an easy, streamlined process to submit their digital files directly from their computers to their Print Facility. PDF DeliveryServer technology dramatically reduces document pre-flighting, speeds job turnaround times, cuts production costs, increases bottom line profits and generates a rapid return on investment for Document Service Providers. “Organizations want, and are demanding, better methodologies to complete their digital document processes and workflows”, said Jamie Ball, President of Digital Infrastructures Inc. “With the integration of Adobe PDF Transit into the DeliveryServer Platform, the barriers are diminished, for getting consistent PDFs that are optimized for print. The ability to provide streamlined, simplified, secure PDF document submission enables a print services provider to become an integral part of their clients’ document processes.” The PDF DeliveryServer client software is customized to each Print Facility and installs directly into a user’s PC or MAC printer folder. By using standard print dialog and simply choosing the PDF DeliveryServer print driver, files (from any application) are automatically converted into a 128 bit encrypted Adobe PDF (with embedded fonts and formatting). Once converted, the PDF document is proofed and the PDF DeliveryServer automatically launches the user’s account interface, where the output and finishing requirements are set, and the order is approved, online. “The PDF DeliveryServer with Adove PDF Transit lets print facilities offer customers a powerful tool for directly submitting print jobs right from the desktop,” said Don Walker, general manager of the publishing technologies and services group at Adobe. “The integration of Adobe PDF Transit into PDF DeliveryServer gives print operators control over the PDF distilling process, ensuring client files are optimized for production.” DeliveryServer is ideal for Print / Press companies, facilities management sites, print centers within corporations, colleges/universities, financial institutions, and government offices. All of the DeliveryServer solutions provide customizable electronic job tickets, job proofing, costing and approval - online. With DeliveryServer solutions in place, print organizations will dramatically reduce document production costs for both print facilities and their clients.
