Print providers can expand market opportunities and services
The imagePRESS C7010VP series, including the imagePRESS C6010VP and C6010, is ideal for operations with intensive graphics or variable data printing requirements – including commercial printers, direct mailers, in-house printrooms (CRDs) and transactional printers. With prints of exceptional quality and maximum performance on a broader range of media types and weights, the imagePRESS C7010VP series delivers greater profitability through increased productivity and flexibility.
Canon imagePRESS C7010VP series offers key enhancements
The imagePRESS C7010VP production color presses combine a built-to-last design and innovative color technologies to deliver constant speeds of up to 71.6 images per minute. Building on the success of the imagePRESS C7000VP color series, the imagePRESS C7010VP series offers a number of key enhancements. With expanded media support for weights ranging from 60 to 325 g/m2, print professionals can produce thicker business cards and forms and inlays on thinner stock, including coated media as light as 70 g/m2. In addition, an optional integrated saddle stitcher enables production of full-bleed booklets with up to 100 sheets on sheet sizes as large as 13 x 19 inches.
Smooth integration and streamlined workflow
“We are delighted to be expanding the range of Canon printing systems though our channels to provide our customers with the complete solution they require,” comments Nick Klitsie, Vice President Business Group Office & Printroom, Océ Document Printing. “The imagePRESS C7010VP series integrates smoothly into existing industry-standard workflows and is compatible with Océ PRISMA®production, Océ PRISMAaccess, Océ PRISMAsatellite for ERP and Océ PRISMAdesigner software to further automate production.”
Compatibility of Canon hardware with Océ software
David Preskett, Professional Print Director, Canon Europe, concurs: “The growing cooperation between Canon and Océ means we can continue to expand our product offering to customers. With added functionality and its link to Océ workflow solutions, the imagePRESS C7010VP series will give customers increased confidence to grow their revenue streams by making the leap into new areas of business.”
Outstanding color quality and consistency
For outstanding color quality, advanced toner technologies with exclusive V-toner combine the best of pulverized and polymerized toner technologies with enhanced gloss optimization technology to deliver rich, vivid color with a smooth, flat finish. What’s more, gloss can be fine-tuned based on specific media settings.
Exceptional color consistency
Enhancements to ensure exceptional color consistency include image control technologies and continuous air circulation in the print engine, together with temperature and humidity sensors in the developer unit and a steady supply of fresh developer. The result is excellent reliability and image consistency on any media – even when environmental conditions change. For consistent image quality throughout the longest runs, real-time color calibration automatically sets color densities, while X-Rite i1 Process Control color management enables complete control and accuracy of the color workflow.
Digital color press productivity improves business efficiency
The imagePRESS C7010VP series is built for continuous productivity. The imagePRESS C7010VP system produces 71.6 full-color images per minute while the imagePRESS C6010VP/C6010 produces 61.7 color images per minute. Thanks to exclusive dual-fusing technology, VP models maintain consistent speed on any supported media. Advanced, air-assisted, vacuum-feed technology enables stable, friction-free paper feeding from up to eight vacuum-feed input trays that supply 10,000 sheets of different stock.
Ultra-sonic, multi-feed detection prevents jams from disrupting production and a new paper jam recovery method, along with higher speeds for larger sheets and mixed-media jobs, accelerate productivity and uptime. Two high-capacity stackers combined with all inline finishers provide output capacity of up to 17,000 sheets for stunning performance and continuous productivity.
Built-in versatility enables print professionals to expand market opportunities
Available in a variety of controller, finishing and software configurations, imagePRESS digital color presses can be driven by a choice of digital front ends. These include imagePRESS Server A1200, A2200 or A3300, powered by Fiery technology, or the imagePRESS CR Server A7000, powered by Creo technology. For expanded application versatility, the systems can be equipped with high-capacity paper input modules, high capacity stackers, a professional punch unit, staple finisher, document inserter or perfect binder. An optional saddle stitcher enables streamlined production of full-bleed, three-side-trimmed booklets that lie perfectly flat – with up to 100 pages, large sheet sizes and mixed media.
