Indiana print industry awards stand-out members

Indianapolis, IN – The Printing Industry of Indiana "Celebrated Print" by recognizing one individual and one corporate award winner during their 94tu Annual Meeting and Member Recognition Evening on November 11 at the Skyline Club, Indianapolis.  

Recognizing the first female in this category, Lynne Churchill received the 2010 Distinguished Print Professional award. Lynne Churchill is majority owner of Miles Printing on Plastics and member of Executive Management team of Harding Poorman Group. "Lynne's accomplishments pave the way for other professional women.  She is the type of leader the printing industry can be proud of with an eye on constant improvement and dedication to quality," said Cathy Mendonca, Executive Director, the Printing Industry of Indiana.  

Receiving it's second PI-Indiana Recognition Award was The National Group who was celebrated with the 2010 Corporate Award.   The company is its strong roots in Greater Lafayette, since 1972.  People are the cornerstone of the company's success and they are noted for the strong sense of respect for co-workers to assure a quality product that helps clients reach their goals.  The company was recognized as the 2008 recipient of the Printer with a Heart Award for their commitment to community through involvements including the American Heart Association, Prophetstown State Park and the Lafayette Kiwanis Club.  This past September, the company was recognized by Clear Blue Green Committee and the Chamber of Commerce with a "Corporate Responsibility award for its efforts in FSC certification and green practices.   

During the evening, Ball State University student and 2010 SkillsUSA winner Shane Govert. was recognized. PI-Indiana is proud to have sponsored Shane to participate in this competition where over 5,600 outstanding career and technical education students joined in the excitement of hands on competition in ninety-six different trade, technical, and leadership fields.
