BCC Software's Chris Lien named to IDEAlliance Board of Directors

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL company and a leading developer of high-performance postal and data quality technology solutions that optimize client communications, announces the election of BCC President Chris Lien to the IDEAlliance Board of Directors. Currently an IDEAlliance representative to the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), Lien will begin his two-year term in February 2011.

Founded in 1966, IDEAlliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance) is a not-for-profit membership organization that works to advance technologies and develop and implement standards in the fields of information technology and publishing.

David J. Steinhardt, President & CEO, IDEAlliance, stated the following on the election of Chris Lien to the IDEAlliance Board of Directors: "Chris has been a leader in IDEAlliance's postal portfolio for many years and, specifically, serves as our representative on MTAC and co-chair of the Mail Software Development Group.  As software more and more defines the postal supply chain, Chris' insights and leadership on the Board will be critical on new initiatives for the Association and our relationship with the US Postal Service."

With the addition of Lien's representation on the IDEAlliance board, BCC Software has board-level representation at three major industry associations. Lien is currently the first vendor board member of the Mailing & Fulfillment Service Association (MFSA), and BCC Vice President of Software Engineering Bob Schimek is a board member of the Association for Postal Commerce (Postcom).
