Press release from the issuing company
CHICAGO--Sept. 28, 2003-- Electronics For Imaging and Fujifilm, today announced the availability of Best Colorproof(TM) for Fujifilm's PictroProof proofing products including the PictroProof and new PictroProof II. The proofing software module is available bundled with Best Colorproof or as a stand-alone module for current Colorproof users. The new software can be seen at both the EFI (#5030) and Enovation (#4020) booths at Graph Expo Sept. 28-Oct. 1 at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Enovation Graphic Systems, Inc. is the exclusive U.S. reseller of this new Best Colorproof offering.
Fuji's PictroProof proofer is the fastest 2-page proofer in its class, with remote proofing capability and built-in auto calibration. It is specifically designed to match CMYK proofing. Best Colorproof is EFI's software proofing system for production environments delivering precision color to industry standards.
"We are very excited to introduce our Best Colorproof PictroProof option to the market with Fujifilm and Enovation Graphic Systems," said Mark Geeves, EFI's general manager of Best products in the U.S. "This is the first time we are supporting a Fuji product. Now PictroProof users can enjoy the same color accuracy in their proofing that EFI's Best technology is renowned for delivering to ink jet printers."
"The PictroProof has been an extremely popular and reliable digital proofing solution in the printing and publishing markets since its introduction," said Eric Neumann, product manager for Color Input Products at Enovation Graphic Systems. "For the first time we can now offer a direct connection through a third-party RIP. The PictroProof consistency, accuracy and reliability coupled with Best's RIPping, color management, and remote proofing software also make this an ideal combination for remote proofing."
