Ginny's books another acquisition with purchase of Morgan Printing

Press release from the issuing company

Austin, TX - Ginny's Printing, the Austin area's largest commercial printing company, has acquired Morgan Printing, announced Michael Martin, Ginny's president and CEO.

A book and publications specialty printer, Morgan was founded by the late Michael Morgan and most currently owned by Mark and Lori Hills. The transaction was completed October 16, 2010.

The Morgan purchase is the latest step in a growth strategy focused on acquiring smaller providers and expanding into new markets, said Martin.

"In the past several years, we have folded in several printing and printing-related companies to grow our service portfolio, add expertise to our team and broaden our customer base," he said. "Morgan gives us a greater and more direct presence in the book printing sector." Morgan's clientele includes corporations, small publishers, institutions and authors.

As with other acquisitions, Ginny's has retained many of Morgan's nine employees.

According to Martin, Ginny's is the most comprehensive provider of printing, copying, mailing and related business services in Central Texas. The company has 16 offset printing presses; one of the nation's largest fleets of Xerox Docutech black & white digital printers; iGen3 and iGen4 digital color printers; and other advanced technology for pre-press, bindery and mailing. In the past few years, fulfillment and web-to-print have become prominent business offerings.

Ginny's was founded in 1971. The company currently employs 205 people and operates a 110,000 square foot administrative and production facility in northeast Austin on Tuscany Lane.
