AlphaGraphics reports encouraging sales trend

Press release from the issuing company

Salt Lake City, UT – In some welcome economic news, AlphaGraphics, Inc. states that, despite reports to the contrary, the marketing community is alive and well in the U.S. The print and marketing communications provider reports experiencing robust growth in 2010, and achieving positive sales growth for seven consecutive months. Year-to-date (YTD) sales growth through September, 2010, for individual centers stands at about four percent, with the prior six months' sales up almost eight percent over the same period last year.

"This trend is an exciting one for all of us," states Kevin Cushing, CEO of AlphaGraphics, Inc.. "Almost thirty percent of our Network grew sales by more than 15 percent over the past six months compared to the same six months in 2009. That's a sign that we have the services and products that business owners need to ramp up their marketing programs as recovery from the recent economic challenges continues."

AlphaGraphics, Inc. is a full-service marketing and communication services franchisor with a global network of locally-owned business centers that offer turnkey marketing solutions to businesses, including design, consultation, marketing strategy, variable marketing with Personalized URLs and more. Centers also offers traditional printing services such as color, large format, offset and digital printing, as well as document management, finishing, binding and kitting.

"The numbers that AlphaGraphics is achieving indicate that the advertising and marketing communities are gaining strength," said Cushing. "Our customers are beginning to step up their marketing to protect their existing market share and to win market share from competitors who are slow to act."

The franchisor attributes much of their recent growth in this difficult economy to their conversion from a printing company to a marketing services provider, and the introduction in 2005 of Digital Business Centers at many of their locations. These state-of-the-art centers have achieved impressive sales growth in 2010, with median YTD sales growth exceeding 30 percent.

"We believe that our recent sales growth signals an awareness on the part of companies big and small that they have an opportunity right now to use their marketing dollars to get a jump on their competitors," Cushing said. "In August, the company had its best single month of sales growth in over a decade, achieving growth of more than 13.5 percent. Businesses are ready to begin growing again, and we are ready to help them."
