Dynagram partners with EFI on pre-press software bundle
Press release from the issuing company
September 28, 2003 - Quebec, Canada - Dynagram, the recognized authority in digital imposition, today announced that it has signed an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Electronics For Imaging (EFI) to offer their DynaStrip imposition software with EFI's Velocity OneFlowTM, PDF-based prepress workflow system. This package will be available to EFI clients and distributors worldwide.
DynaStrip is a highly sophisticated imposition solution providing a complete and flexible range of imposition capabilities. Velocity OneFlow is EFI's PDF-based, automated workflow system for small and mid-size printers. Powerful, yet easy-to-use, Velocity OneFlow enables custom pre-press workflows for output to a variety of devices, including platesetters, imagesetters, DI presses, production digital color and B&W copiers, and wide-format laser and ink-jet printers. OneFlow provides advanced tools for preflighting, imposition, trapping, RIPping (ROOM), and proofing, along with advanced color management.
With DynaStrip integration, Velocity OneFlow now also offers an imposition job ticket plus a PDF mark set. Job ticket impositions can be populated with multi-page PDF document files or be merged later allowing for last minute page adjustments. Users can also benefit from DynaStripís direct-layout PDF preview using the Raster Mode function and from the user-friendly template creation feature.
"Dynagram is pleased to team with EFI for this OEM agreement," said Franois Gurard, president of Dynagram. "Both of our organizations are committed to advancing open standards within the industry. By streamlining information exchange between the DynaStrip imposition module and the Velocity OneFlow workflow components, we ensure that commercial printers - large or small - truly benefit from the increase in quality, productivity and ROI that only open systems can afford."
"The DynaStip imposition solution is a valuable addition to our Velocity OneFlow pre-press system," said Ghilad Dziesietnik, EFI Vice President of Advanced Workflow. "We are pleased to work with Dynagram to offer this as a complement to our solution."
