Satori Software adds support for Mail.XML with new electronic documentation add-on

Press release from the issuing company

Seattle, WA - Satori Software today announced the immediate availability of the new Electronic Documentation add-on for its number-one selling desktop mailing preparation software series, Bulk Mailer.

The Electronic Documentation add-on supports options for both Mail.XML and Mail.dat formats. The Mail.XML option interfaces directly with the USPS PostalOne! system and can be used to submit, edit or cancel mailings. The Mail.dat option generates files for manual submission to USPS or through drop shipment and logistics providers.

One requirement for earning the Full-Service Intelligent Mail discount is that all documentation, including postage statements, must be provided electronically. Both Mail.XML and Mail.dat can be used to meet this requirement.

"The new Electronic Documentation wizard offers a much more streamlined process for managing mailing documentation through Mail.XML," states Randy Hoefer, vice-president, research and product strategy of Satori Software, Inc. "Now our Bulk Mailer customers can choose the submission method that best fits the needs of their business."

The Electronic Documentation add-on replaces the company's Mail.dat add-on. Existing customers have been upgraded to the new add-on and may continue to generate Mail.dat files without changing existing processes.
