CGS launches ORIS Aproove in North America

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago - ORIS Aproove, CGS Publishing Technologies International's collaboration and color approval system, has been given "Worth a Look" status for this year's GraphExpo. Following a successful debut in Europe, CGS is introducing the system in North America this week.

Based on a central Web server, the Adobe PDF RIP and Adobe Flex-based client software, ORIS Aproove allows any number of users to submit jobs, annotate and approve pages - or manage entire jobs and projects. File formats supported include PDF, DCS, 1-bit TIFF and Kodak's VPS.

ORIS Aproove benefits every stakeholder in the print design and production process, without imposing esoteric and confusing prepress concepts on the user. The system can be used with any prepress environment, and there are no click charges or complex, multi-user licensing fees.

CEO Trevor Haworth expressed appreciation for the "Worth a Look" designation. "This recognizes that Aproove is a unique tool for brand marketers, designers and agencies to speed communication and shorten decision times to bring product to market. Aproove gives the user enormous benefits - without forcing designers to adopt proprietary systems or esoteric concepts. By offering their customers this level of intuitive collaboration, printers will increase their potential business."

Live demos of ORIS Aproove can be seen at the CGS booth (#432) throughout the show.
