C.P. Bourg and Ultimate crossing the finishing line at GraphExpo

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada - At GraphExpo in Chicago Ultimate Technographics Inc. will be showing a new version of its innovative Ultimate Bindery automated finishing solution that includes a module to drive and synchronize jobs for the C.P. Bourg booklet maker BCMEx & BMEx. This new version of Ultimate Bindery will be demonstrated in a live performance on the iGen4 in Xerox booth.

'Ultimate Bindery is the only open JDF module of its kind designed to bridge prepress and finishing, monitoring the synchronization and communication flow between printing and finishing, explains Joanne David, President and CEO of Ultimate. With the completion of the joint development between Ultimate and C.P. Bourg, Ultimate Bindery now hosts new inline finishing possibilities for digital printers.'

'This unique solution totally removes the need for the operator to setup the finishing equipment at every job change. This reduces job turnaround time and ,risk for operator induced errors and allows to verify from prepress stage the feasibility of the job in the finishing equipment', explains Eric Le Moine, Marketing Manager of CP Bourg Belgium.

Ultimate Bindery, first introduced at the last drupa, allows customers to take advantage of JDF automation at an early stage without making drastic changes in their workflow. The new version of Ultimate Bindery includes the ability to drive several finishing systems, enabling customers to drive different equipments from a single workflow. Because Ultimate Bindery can drive both inline and near-line finishing equipment, it becomes easy for customers to start automating their bindery department and to link it with their web services, their store-front or simply through Impostrip OnDemand Automation; the most advanced and automated imposition solution for digital printing today.
