Champion to Acquire Assets of Cox Printing Company, Inc.

HUNTINGTON, W.V., Sept. 18 -- Champion Industries, Inc. today announced the purchase of certain assets of Cox Printing Company, Inc. of Lexington, Ky. Champion purchased the assets including plates, negatives, electronic files and customer list along with all pertinent records pertaining to such assets. Champion paid an undisclosed amount of cash in the transaction. Cox is a Lexington, Kentucky based printer established in 1954 with the primary emphasis of producing a specialty magazine publication distributed throughout the southeastern portion of the United States. Champion Industries' Chairman Marshall T. Reynolds called the transaction "a great opportunity to add some incremental sales to our Lexington division. This book of business fits well with our current pre-press and production facilities in our existing plants."
