The PrintCity Alliance, a grouping of over 20 independent suppliers to the global printing & packaging industry, has announced a partnership with ABRO, the Associação Brasileira de Empresas com Rotativas Offset.

This cooperation was first communicated at an Expoprint news conference in São Paulo recently. PrintCity members Sun Chemical, manroland, UPM, Cofely and partner Dalim are hosting a web offset session on Technical Visions of the Future of Print during the August 18 Annual Conference of ABRO, the Association of Web Offset Printers in Brazil.

According to Eduardo Gândara Costa of Abril (President at ABRO), this new partnership offers Brazilian web offset printers unique access to latest process knowledge. He commented, "We are happy to connect ABRO's in depth knowledge in the web offset market in Brazil with the technical expertise from PrintCity Alliance Members. It will bring many benefits to Brazilian printers. For instance, we plan to translate many of the leading PrintCity reports into Portuguese and offer them to our members."

Tilson D. Casteluci, Commercial Director at ABRO confirmed, "This new co-operation helps us to bring international expertise and best practice knowledge to share with the Brazilian market. We are looking forward to more events and seminars with PrintCity members."

PrintCity presentations will take place during a 120 minutes dedicated panel discussion session at the ABRO Annual Conference. A total audience of 260 is expected, with up to 100 people attending the PrintCity member presentations.
