Press release from the issuing company
Washington, DC-The head of the U.S. Government Printing Office, Public Printer Bruce R. James, will be in Des Moines, Iowa on September 15th to kick off the National State Publishing Association's 27th Annual Conference. While the Public Printer will be speaking about the future of government printing, publishing and communications during his keynote speech, Mr. James says he does not plan on doing all the talking.
"Historically many of the issues affecting state government publishing have first been identified at the state level. I want to listen to the concerns facing publishing officials, work together in creating opportunities in the electronic dissemination of information, and then support those efforts," said Public Printer James.
NSPA's conference, "Exploring New Markets", runs September 14-17 at the Hotel Fort Des Moines. For more information on the conference, go to www.govpublishing.org.
The purpose of the NSPA is to bring publishing officials of the various states into an organization through which they can work to improve the management of publishing programs. The association exchanges information and cooperates toward the more effective exercise of production and procurement of publishing products and services. The organization seeks greater efficiency and economy in state government, as well as conducts research and recommends improvement in state government publishing.
