X-Rite and Pantone to showcase solutions at GraphExpo 2010

Press release from the issuing company

Grand Rapids, Mich. – X-Rite, Incorporated, the world leader in color management, measurement and communication technologies, and its wholly owned subsidiary Pantone, the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the design industries, today announced that they will showcase their latest line of print and pre-press color management solutions at Graph Expo, October 3-6 McCormick Place South, Chicago, IL in booth 448.

At GraphExpo, and for the first time in North America, X-Rite will demonstrate its next generation color profiling solution featuring i1Profiler, the company's brand new color profiling software and PANTONE Link, a new color swatch bridging software. i1Profiler and PANTONE Link offer unprecedented color quality for up to 8 color printing workflows (CMYK + any four), iterative profiling, ease of use for both advanced and novice users, peer-level workflow exchange, QA validation and verification against ISO, simplified color space selection, and spot color accuracy.

Graph Expo visitors will be able to see the latest version (v. 6) of X-Rite's InkFormulation software. Developed for ink manufacturers and printers who formulate their own ink, InkFormulation 6 provides a fast, accurate and consistent ink formulation, formula creation, storage, approval and retrieval solution for offset, flexographic, gravure and screen-printing inks. The new InkFormulation 6 software gives ink suppliers and printers more flexibility over recipes and assortments, improves basic materials handling, automatically determines the right ink film thickness and helps to eliminate hazardous waste.

The new X-Rite PrintCheck and PressOptimizer will also be showcased on booth 448. Available in four affordable, easy-to-use software packages, the new solutions are designed for printers who want to print to international ISO standards using industry specifications for process control like G7 or PSO, or for those that need to set their own tolerances. The new, wizard-driven solutions allow print buyers and pressroom operators to simplify workflows and follow a job from contract to delivery and ensure quality consistency and standards compliance.

Pantone's new PLUS SERIES is the next generation of the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM for multimedia graphic design.  It contains hundreds of new colors for greater design flexibility and contemporary impact, as well as several new features, such as chromatic arrangement for more intuitive color selection, an index to aid in specific color location, a ColorChecker lighting indicator for finding the proper conditions for color evaluation, a ColorChecker primer for digital image color correction and PANTONE COLOR MANAGER Software.

Visitors to the X-Rite/Pantone booth 448 will also see the company's full range of color solutions including color inspiration and selection tools, systems for profiling and calibrating monitors, printers and presses; proofing systems; pressroom quality control tools; ink formulation tools; dedicated flexography and package production solutions; and tools for overall process control and color certification of the digital printing supply chain.
