New Primera developments for the mid performance range

Press release from the issuing company

Muller Martini introduced its new developments for the Primera saddle stitcher at the IPEX trade fair in Birmingham, UK. The Primera 110 completes the bottom end of the range of products, while the new Primera 160, the most efficient saddle stitcher in the mid-performance segment, closes the gap at the top.

Today's printing and finishing plants are confronted with very specific challenges in terms of run size, the variety of sizes and job structure. Customers can choose from a wide range of products from Muller Martini in the mid-performance range, tailoring their choice to suit their specific requirements. Thanks to the modular concept, different levels of automation and a diverse range of configuration options are available.

Primera 110: The First Choice for a Wide Size Range
The Primera 110 now offers an increased degree of automation and an improved, ergonomic operating concept. It produces 11,000 cycles per hour and delivers the best price/performance ratio in its class. The Primera 110 processes a wide size range and products in sizes from A7 to A3. Two-up and three-up production are also possible. The gentle processing action and the integrated process supervision function guarantee faultless, complete and precision products. The system is set up and controlled via a touchscreen and now comes equipped with a highly intuitive setup wizard.  This feature makes operation simple and self-explanatory for the user. The local HMI control devices, which are also mounted to every feeder, ensure short operating paths. As with the rest of the Primera line, this system also features the new, innovative Smart Stitch Control staple control function, which verifies not only the presence of the staple, but also the type used.

Primera 160: Powerful and Flexible
With 16,000 cycles per hour, the Primera 160 is the most efficient saddle stitcher in the mid-performance segment and is available with two different levels of automation. The machine impresses with its comprehensive process supervision and high level of production reliability. Thanks to its ergonomic design and modern control concept, it is very user friendly and can be set up quickly.
