Yupo Launches Web Site For Graphic Arts And Packaging Professionals

Press release from the issuing company

CHESAPEAKE, VA (September 9, 2003) – Yupo Corporation America has launched a redesigned, updated and expanded North American web site. The address, www.yupo.com, remains unchanged. The site features bold new graphics and measurably enhanced navigation along with a wealth of information about Yupo Corporation America and its line of YUPO synthetic papers. Manufactured at a state-of-the-art plant in Chesapeake, Virginia, YUPO synthetic papers are noted for exceptional durability and superior finish characteristics. Among the site revisions is a new section devoted exclusively to YUPO Technical Papers. YUPO Technical Papers include YUPO IML, YUPO Direct Thermal and YUPO Pressure Sensitive, all of which are marketed to the packaging and converting industries for a broad range of sophisticated and demanding applications. The Commercial Papers section of the site remains dedicated to printers and to graphic artists, art directors and others within the design community. This section incorporates a number of special features including extensive technical data, stock lists, and cross-referenced application charts. Also featured Case Studies detailing some of the more inventive ways YUPO has been "put to the test" in recent months. Samantha Mapelli, Yupo Corporation American Marketing Representative, was responsible for managing and coordinating the creative and production teams involved in developing and launching the new site. “Our new Internet site is much more appealing and appreciably easier to navigate," she says. "It really does a wonderful job of showcasing the many qualities that distinguish the YUPO product line. “Our goal was to create a site that members of the design community can rely on as a ongoing source for creative inspiration. At the same time, the site provides printer and other industry professionals immediate access to a variety of important technical data and related information,” she continues. "We're confident the site will prove to be an invaluable resource." Visitors to the site may order YUPO swatch books and printed samples as well as small quantities of approximately 40 of the most popular grades in the YUPO line via the on line "Yupo Store." These grades generally are available for immediate shipment. Designers and artists also will find a direct link to the first annual "Wally Awards" site. "We're celebrating the fifth anniversary of Yupo Corporation America this year, and we established the Wally Awards as a means of recognizing individuals who have been especially creative in the ways they've leveraged YUPO's special qualities," says Paul Mitcham, Yupo's National Marketing Manager. Prizes will be awarded in four separate categories, and the names of the winning entrants will be announced in November 2003.
