Ann B. Scales joins Standard Register to lead transformation of healthcare business

Dayton, Ohio - Standard Register's Healthcare Business today announced the appointment of Ann B. Scales, an experienced healthcare business strategist and solutions developer, to the newly created post of healthcare marketing and product management director for document and information management solutions.

Scales has been charged with evolving the current document management product line and expanding information management capabilities to support healthcare providers in their journey from paper to digital and beyond.

Prior to joining Standard Register, Scales was an independent healthcare business consultant. She founded and led several consulting practices, including ARC Business Systems Consultants and Creative Systems Consultants where she analyzed healthcare problems and developed solutions to address her healthcare clients' clinical and business challenges. Her career also includes leadership, business development and marketing experience with leading software and technology companies, including i2 Technologies, Healtheon/WebMD, GE Medical Systems, Companion Technologies and Park City Solutions.

Respected for her expertise in healthcare IT, interoperability and analytics, workflow process and information flow re-engineering, records/document management and integrating diverse business requirements, Scales is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and corporate meetings as well as having authored a number of journal and magazine articles. She has spoken to members of the Healthcare Information and Management System Society, the Healthcare Financial Managers Association, the Medical Group Managers Association. She was recognized as an Outstanding Young Woman in Business by the Mississippi Economic & Development Council.

A resident of Birmingham, Alabama, Ann is relocating to Dayton.
