Zevrix updates BatchOutput for InDesign Automation, improves EPS export

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto (ON), Canada - Zevrix Solutions today announces BatchOutput 3.8.1, a maintenance update to its popular professional solution to automate printing and exporting from Adobe InDesign. Developed originally at one of the largest ad agencies in Canada to boost productivity of its prepress department, BatchOutput automates and simplifies workflow of printers, ad agencies, service providers and publishing houses. With BatchOutput, users only need to select the files to output and adjust the settings, and the rest will be done automatically.

BatchOutput is not just a plug-in - it's a workflow solution that interacts Acrobat Pro preflight engine, provides digital delivery capabilities and integrates fully with the Finder. Being an independent application, BatchOutput is much more versatile than a regular plug-in. The users can keep working with other programs while BatchOutput processes their InDesign files in the background. Or they can let it work while they're on a lunch break or even leave it working overnight to output hundreds of documents and the job will be done when they return in the morning.

As Tami Stodghill wrote in X-Ray magazine, "The complete automation hooked me - BatchOutput lets you work after hours without lifting a finger."

BatchOutput automates printing as well as exporting to PDF, PostScript, EPS, Flash, INX and various image formats. It offers the following powerful automation capabilities:
- Print and export hundreds of InDesign files with a single click
- Output files as single pages
- Update links automatically
- Assign complex variable file names
- Output documents invisibly and suppress warnings
- Preflight final PDF automatically with Acrobat Pro droplets
- Send final files automatically to FTP and locally

The new update addresses an issue which prevented built-in EPS presets to be saved properly. BatchOutput now also includes a free license of File Courier to support automatic digital delivery.

BatchOutput is also available in a server version which offloads printing and exporting to PDF and PostScript to a central system leaving InDesign workstations free from the output process.
