SEGO Selects MassTransit Enterprise by Group Logic
Press release from the issuing company
September 4, 2003 -- (Arlington, VA) - Group Logic, developer of best-selling network workflow software products, announced that the French company, SEGO, has implemented MassTransit Enterprise to instantly compress files and optimize the bandwidth of their networks. Headquartered in France, SEGO is a parent company of ten individual companies; five of which are prepress companies handling over 2,500 pages per day. SEGO covers the entire French graphic industry by producing more than 120 magazines including Nouvel Observateur, Figaro Magazine, as well as catalogues such as JPG, Club Med and Jet Tours.
In order for SEGO to be in sync with their customers, in terms of reliability and short deadlines, the printing and prepress sites were connected to the France Telecom trans-e-graph network in June 2002. Trans-e-graph is a full service suite of printing products offered exclusively by Group Logic's French distributor Maximicro. This telecom link allows highly secure exchange of files between several companies including editors and printing colleagues.
MassTransit's ease of use made the decision for SEGO's Development Manager, Frédéric Jahn, very easy, "This is the key reason the MassTransit software was chosen and expanded into some units of the company. After just a few months of use, our satisfaction is real. The equipped sites have enhanced the productivity of the sending with the software being so easy to use." SEGO currently runs MassTransit on Macintosh computers and the product is mainly used by the prepress department which manages sending files to affiliated printers.
Server-based software, MassTransit Enterprise installs at a corporate location(s) and can be easily shared with customers, vendors and other trading partners. Its universal design supports every file transmission workflow - server to server, Web to server, and server to Web – and eliminates delivery or usage fees typically associated with similar solutions.
