INKWARE appoints Charrette as exclusive distributor for their Avery ICS ink system

Press release from the issuing company

August, 2003-- INKWARE and Avery Dennison's Graphics Division have become partners in the development of a warranted durable imaging solution for graphics produced on the Oce Arizona printer. INKWARE has signed an exclusive distribution agreement in the US with Charrette, the Woburn, MA based premier graphic materials supplier. With INKWARE's expertise in solvent pigmented inks, Avery's world class durability guarantee and Charrette's customer interface, the first serious contender to 3M's dominance in the Arizona ink market has finally arrived. James Pike, INKWARE's Director of International Sales commented, "We have been looking for a company that could deliver exceptional value to our customers in this field. We believe that Charrette will make an excellent partner in this challenging market place." He continued, "We believe that customers should have a choice in the inks and materials that they use, and so far with the Arizona, none of our competitors have been able to provide, quality, warranty and wide availability." Customers of Charrette, Avery Dennison and INKWARE can be sure that their graphics, when manufactured and used within the guidelines of the written Avery ICS Performance Guarantee, will be durable enough for the rigorous demands of vehicle, signage, and other applications. Graphics manufactured using suitable Avery materials and INKWARE Arizona ink can be warranted up to five years subject to the usual conditions. "It all comes down to choice," states Tom Durner, Business Development Manager for the Avery Graphics Division. "People want to run the inks and media that make the most sense for their specific applications, especially when the manufacturers of those components have already done the compatibility, weathering, and durability testing for them. It is because of that extensive testing that Avery and INKWARE are able to offer this warranty program." Charrette's Director of Product Development, Derek Winton concluded, "This is a strong statement to the market, offer high quality products from companies serious about providing value and service. This is one of many ways to support those customers who have moved away from the OEM ink solution to other third party because of price or performance. Our relationship with INKWARE and the distribution of their outstanding inks for the Arizona is just a start."
