Paarl Media expands commitment to Prism QTMS

Press release from the issuing company

Wilmington, MA - The Paarl Media Group, one of the most extensive commercial printing operations in South Africa with 11 plants, has made a major commitment to expand its installation of Prism QTMS across over 80 pieces of manufacturing equipment including heatset web presses, gravure presses, and binding and stitching lines. All existing systems will be upgraded to the latest version of QTMS, iQ, plus the installation on new and existing equipment.

Paarl Media has trusted the data provided by QTMS for many years to control counts and waste, and monitor machine utilization. And the flexibility of QTMS iQ gives each site the ability to use the system in a way that is unique to their business and requirements. QTMS iQ includes an open and published Application Programming Interface (API) which allows integration to existing and future systems at Paarl Media.

Process improvement is important in any economy. During tight economic times, however, the ROI of process improvement efforts must be quick and substantial. QTMS is delivering paper and labor savings in short order to five additional companies around the world. Companies like CTP of South Africa are installing QTMS iQ on five new presses across two plants. Adare Advantage of the UK is expanding their Prism WIN MIS installation with seven QTMS iQ systems.

Paragon Print and Packaging Group of the UK are installing iQ Manager for material tracking as well as iQ systems for presses and finishing equipment. And Hannanprint in Victoria, Australia is installing iQ Web on a Goss M600 and iQ Binder on a Ferag Unidrum.
