Press release from the issuing company

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Since its inception more than 100 years ago, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo has primarily served the state. However, with its growing reputation as one of the most comprehensive universities in the nation, the university is expanding its recruiting reach beyond the borders of California.

As part of a move to enhance geographic diversity and open educational opportunities, Cal Poly is accepting applications from national and international candidates Oct. 1 through Nov. 30.

Through this new recruiting initiative, Cal Poly's Graphic Communication Department is providing degree opportunities for students from all states and nations interested in careers in printing, publishing, packaging, graphic communication management, graphic communication technology, design reproduction technology, digital media and web development.

"I've been waiting for this initiative for years," said Harvey Levenson, head of Cal Poly's Graphic Communication Department. "We receive numerous inquiries from prospective students from other states and nations wanting to study Graphic Communication at Cal Poly. I couldn't be more delighted with this opportunity to broaden the student base we educate and to prepare the future leadership of our industry."
