Copresco installs a Canon 7000VP digital press

Press release from the issuing company

Copresco has installed a Canon 7000VP digital press. The new system will take the company to another level of high-end color printing of customers' books and manuals, says president and CEO Steve Johnson.

"Color technology is advancing in quantum leaps. To keep pace with these rapid changes, Copresco continually evaluates the graphic arts industry's latest technical tools and production techniques," Johnson explained. "The 7000VP- supported with our extensive knowledge of digital technology-will keep us at the forefront of on-demand color printing."

Major customer benefits include faster production of jobs, vivid color reproduction and a wider range of papers, finishes and thicknesses.

"In a high volume shop like ours, we run thousands of black & white jobs.  We even guarantee a quarter of a million impressions the next business day. The vast majority of these jobs require color covers on heavier stocks that slowed down the previous printer. With our new equipment we can keep pace with our fast turnaround black and white workflow, while meeting growing demands for fast service on full-color jobs," Johnson concluded.

Copresco specializes in digital on-demand printing of publications, books and manuals for clients in the general business, printing trade, technical and institutional fields. The company is headquartered in the Chicago area.
