Press release from the issuing company

Miami Beach, Florida– February 22, 2007– Graphics of the Americas-Xplor, the second largest U.S.-based annual international graphic communications exhibit conference, today announced a joint promotion to be held at Graphics of the Americas-Xplor, March 2-4, 2007 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Attendees touring the On Demand Book Making and Workflow Feature will be automatically entered into a drawing for a complete book making system including printer, perfect binding system, electric creaser and paper cutter, a $17,000-plus value. The combined system will allow the winner to create and offer their customers full-color, laminated, perfect bound books on demand and complete in a market projected to be over $1 billion annually. “On demand book making offers a number of advantages to publishers over traditional offset-based publishing including improved time to market, reduced inventory demands and minimized risks for prototypes or test marketing,” said Chris Price, vice president and general manager of Graphics of the Americas. “In addition, on demand book making has a number of applications including database custom publishing, keep-in-print programs, short-run publishing, educational courseware and prepublication copies.” Supporting the promotion are: - ExactBind, booth # 188 will donate a perfect binding system. For the first time shown in the U.S., The PBS-2000 tabletop perfect binder is compact but loaded with features. With a simple push of a button, you can make both soft and hard cover books. It incorporates the same processes that professional book binderies use, spine roughening, hot-melt adhesive and precise clamping. - Morgana, booth #336 will donate an electric creaser. The semi-automatic Electro-Creaser is the ideal unit for printers who need something faster than a manual creaser, such as the Morgana Docu-Crease, but cannot justify the cost of a fully automated machine like the AutoCreaser. Made in the UK, the Electro-Creaser is ideal for the smaller printer or in plant. A compact, tabletop unit, it is fast to set up and simplicity itself to operate. - FujiFilm Graphic Systems, booth #2214 will donate a Xerox Phaser 7760 Printer. The Xerox Phaser 7760 Print features technology and software that allows control of output color and results match expectations. You get consistent color accuracy, sharp images and crisp text, from the first page to the last. - Challenge Machinery, booth #341 will donate a Spartan 150 SA paper cutter. A 15-inch tabletop machine perfect for the professional office, copy center, in-plant and on-demand printing environment. The drawing will take place on Sunday, March 4, 2007, after the show at Graphics of the Americas 2007. The winner does not have to be present to win but is responsible for freight and shipping of the system. No purchase is necessary to win.
