DG3 Appoints Saggiomo President & COO

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey -- The DG3 Group (DG3), a leading provider of global graphic communication solutions, announced today the promotion of Thomas Saggiomo to President and Chief Operating Officer and his appointment to DG3’s Board of Directors.  Mr. Saggiomo will continue to report directly to Dr. Michael R. Cunningham, who has assumed the position of Chairman, and will continue as Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Dr. Cunningham, commented, “Tom has made a significant impact since he joined DG3 and he has implemented a number of initiatives that have enhanced our business in North America.  Tom shares our vision for the company and we believe he has the industry experience and leadership skills to assume responsibility for DG3’s operations worldwide and to help move our company forward. Our entire management team and global employees look forward to the guidance he will provide as we continue to build on our leading position as an international graphic communications company.”

Mr. Saggiomo joined DG3 in 2008 as President of North America, with overall responsibility for DG3’s North American Division.  Prior to joining DG3 he was President and CEO of the Agfa Graphics North American division where, among his many accomplishments, he led the successful launch of the digital printing and wide format ink jet suite of products. Prior to Agfa, Mr. Saggiomo was CEO and President of Lastra American Corporation, a company which he founded and grew to over $100 million in revenues.

Commenting on his new position, Mr. Saggiomo, said, “DG3 has a 30-year history of leadership and innovation as a provider of graphic communications solutions. I am very excited about this new and challenging opportunity and look forward to working with Michael, the company’s management team and all of DG3’s employees to build on our past success.”

Dr. Cunningham assumes the title of Chairman from Laurence Bloch, former Chairman of the Board of TransWestern Publishing Company, who will continue as DG3’s Vice-Chairman.

A graduate of New York City Technical College, Mr. Saggiomo currently serves on the board of NYU’s Graphic Communications Management and Technology program and in the past served as Board Chairman for both The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES) and The Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF).

In addition, DG3 has appointed Mary Driscoll to the Board of Directors. Ms. Driscoll is an Operating Partner at Arsenal Capital Partners and is responsible for Six Sigma across Arsenal’s portfolio of companies. She holds a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma and was formerly the Director of Six Sigma at W.R. Grace.
