Muller Martini Offers Fully Automated Cb 18 Stacker

Press release from the issuing company

The new, fully automated CB 18 stacker from Muller Martini is designed for use in the upper speed range of perfect binding.  A regulated pusher with servo technology ensures that the stacks are ejected smoothly while retaining their shape, even when the line has a high output.  Since products are supported on all sides in the prestacking unit, they can be guided downward to the turntable in a controlled fashion.  Both compensated and uncompensated stacks are possible.

The CB 18 can be adapted to meet individual and varying needs in the production of adhesive-bound magazines, catalogs, paperbacks, brochures and bookblocks for hardcovers.  It can be used directly after the three-knife trimmer or within the conveyor section.  And, thanks to the fully automated size changeover, set-up times are reduced to a minimum.  Size data can be transferred directly to a three-knife trimmer, further reducing set-up times.

The CB 18 stacker’s mobility enables easy placement in the desired position within the system.  Along with its reliable product infeed and delivery process, the stacker also provides flexible use thanks to diverse configurations.  Large, plexiglass doors give operators a perfect line of sight into the machine.

The stacker sets up quickly and has easy-to-operate controls.  Other advantages include a reliable product infeed and delivery process, as well as enhanced user flexibility thanks to versatile configurations.
