Tukaiz Partners with WGN Radio for Personalized Calendars

Press release from the issuing company

Franklin Park, IL, December 9, 2008 - Tukaiz, a leading provider of results-driven marketing communications services, has expanded its strategic marketing partnership with WGN Radio, its first with a major consumer broadcasting company, to sell exclusive image-personalized 2009 calendars via WGN Radio's website. This alliance represents a rare business-to-business-to-consumer relationship wherein the calendars are promoted on both companies' websites as well as advertised on WGN Radio airtime.   Already fast-selling at a rate of one order every five minutes, the calendars are enjoying widespread appeal as the perfect holiday present:  a practical yet thoughtful keepsake gift that is reasonably priced and easy to create. The calendars have also been promoted on WGN TV and in the Chicago Tribune.

"Tukaiz is a leader in the field of personalized communications and WGN Radio is proud to continue to build on our 15 year relationship with them, this time to offer these calendars with a specific Chicago theme that cannot be obtained anywhere else," said Wendi Power, director of sales for WGN Radio.

The innovative calendars are unlike any other, taking calendar customization to the next level for consumers who would typically not have the opportunity to take advantage of this type of custom creativity. Tukaiz' advanced picture personalization technology allows the recipient's name to be incorporated directly into 12 different monthly images of famed Chicago landmarks.  For instance, the personalized name can appear on the side of the famed Chicago "EL" trains, or in lights strung across Michigan Avenue. With Tukaiz' sophisticated image rendering and clarity, the resultant pictures make it look like they were photographed that way.

"What our technology does is take one of the elements from the photograph, let's say it's the concrete by the Art Institute," said Frank Defino, Jr., vice president and managing director of Tukaiz, in a recent on-air interview with John Williams, a WGN radio host.  "We dedicate a spot in that photo for where the name is going to go, and it will render out the name so it looks as if it was chiseled right into the concrete."

The calendars can be further personalized by consumers with messages on the recipient's important dates (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), making it easy to remember special days.  And for reorders, Tukaiz automatically archives this inputted information, saving customers from having to type everything in again next year. The creation process itself is quick and user-friendly.  Buyers simply select a style, submit the personalized name (or upload a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for larger orders), add their special dates and the program automatically takes care of the rest.

Available at www.wgnradiocalendars.com, Tukaiz offers a choice of either desk or wall calendars.  Both are quality, sturdy products with double wire bound spiral binding and 100 lb. dull cover stock.  At $14.99, the desk calendar measures 5"x 7.5" and features a double-sided flip design.  The wall calendar runs for $19.99, and measures 11"x17", which hangs almost anywhere.  To drive increased sales, discounts are offered on volume orders.
