Océ debuts new color, black & white and sustainable technologies at Print 09
Press release from the issuing company
Venlo, The Netherlands -- At Print 09, Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, will showcase innovative solutions to help graphic arts professionals win customers and capture more revenues leveraging 'The Power of Color, The Speed of Business,' this year's theme at Océ Booth 1863.
Océ demonstrates breakthrough hardware innovations and applications
Taking digital cutsheet printing to the next level, Océ will unveil the 306-ppm Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra digital perfecting system, the world's fastest and most productive cutsheet printer and the flagship model in the new Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra Line, offering dramatic advances in speed, quality, productivity, media flexibility, scalability, connectivity and sustainability. Océ will also debut the new Océ JetStreamä 1000, the first continuous feed inkjet printer in its speed class to offer full-width, single-engine perfecting press capabilities, printing both sides of a page in one engine. The system features a unique combination of CMYK printing plus integrated MICR or six-color printing capability, with the industry's smallest inkjet footprint.
Show-goers can experience Océ solutions in action producing a variety of industry-specific applications to help print providers reduce costs and drive profits. For example, the Océ VarioPrint 6320 Ultra, the Océ CS665 Pro and Océ JetStream 1000 systems will produce black & white and full-color books on demand. The Océ JetStream system will also be shown printing newspapers on demand, along with convenience checks and TransPromo applications. The Océ CS665 Pro system will be shown producing color calendars and QR codes, a print-to-web application that uses 2-D cell-phone readable barcodes to drive incremental value from digitally printed communications and a full-color photo book that
preserves transitory content from a blog into permanent format. Demonstrating how graphic arts companies can generate revenues and capture new business opportunities with sustainable technologies, the Océ Arizona 350XT wide format UV-curable flatbed printer, together with the Océ ProCut digital cutting system, will print sustainable applications on Re-Boardä. The 40-percent recycled substrate opens up new areas of opportunity like retail and trade show display graphics, environmentally friendly furniture and emergency housing after
natural disasters. Attendees can also see point-of-purchase signs and color CAD graphics produced on the Océ ColorWave 600.
Workflow automation across applications
In addition to advanced hardware innovations, Océ will power productivity throughout the booth with Océ PRISMA workflow software solutions. Software implementations include web-to-print, automated document factories and multi-vendor integration solutions that help print providers improve workflow and drive additional productivity from multi-vendor print environments. Océ also will unveil Océ TrueCostä, the industry's first and only integrated software tool to enable print providers to calculate the true cost of producing a color job and capture more color profits and ROI from Océ JetStream systems.
