As a result of this agreement, CMYK Distributors, Inc. is the sole U.S. distributor of revolutionary products including InkZone Perfect, delivering state-of-the-art ink key presetting technology for almost all offset presses via network; InkZone Loop, the first closed-loop color solution for digital ink control on offset presses from all leading manufacturers; and the Preproofer, an accurate, fast, and cost-effective double-sided proofer. CMYK Distributors, Inc. is the industry's premiere distributor of ink-presets and closed-loop technology that improve quality while reducing waste and make- ready time in the pressroom.
"CMYK Distributors is honored to be named the exclusive distributor of Digital Information products and services in the U.S.," commented Mark J. Williams, CMYK Distributors, Inc. Co-founder & Executive Director of Sales. "The value that InkZone products bring to the pressroom in terms of dollars and time saved is truly extraordinary. And, the fact that these products are reducing waste and helping the industry to conserve our natural resources adds an even more compelling dimension to our work."
CMYK Distributors, Inc. has exclusive distribution rights to products including:
• The innovative InkZone Perfect reduces start-up time and materials with most brands and models of offset litho press consoles. InkZone is based on JDF technology and is fully compliant with global workflows and international standards. The DI-Plot software sends ink coverage values in the form of JDF files to InkZone Perfect for conversion via network to the console. InkZone Loop enables users to take advantage of critical closed- loop color control systems to improve the efficiency of ink key and sweep adjustments on nearly all makes and models of press consoles. InkZone Loop enables the automatic measurement and evaluation of color bars and then direct, digital feedback of the appropriate ink-key adjustments. With InkZone Perfect and InkZone Loop customers enjoy a cost-effective product line that can be retrofitted to older press models or newer presses while using a straightforward, common user interface.
• The InkZone Move Press Solution is a powerful software application for quality assurance on sheetfed or web offset presses. Available in two versions, InkZone Move Densi and InkZone Move Spectro, the system supports all established scanning color measurement devices. As an extension, InkZone Loop can be added, which turns offline color control into a closed-loop process with fully-automated integration with almost any model of offset press. A new G7 print reporting feature will be available at Print '09.
• The Preproofer 790 and 990 solutions are among the most flexible, covering sizes from 4-up to 8-up leveraging state-of-the-art Epson printer technology. The systems incorporate sophisticated registration technology to ensure that printing on the face and reverse of the media are accurately aligned. The Preproofer 790 and 990 can add more value to contract proofs for any color work that is destined for printing on two sides. Commercial print, magazine and catalog signatures, packaging work and direct mail can all be proofed accurately and productively, all with perfect front-to-back registration.
CMYK Distributors, Inc. will be in the Digital Information Booth 7151 at Print '09 in Chicago from September 11 – 16, 2009. Please visit the booth for more information on products and services.
