OneVision Introduces WorkSpace Software for Prepress Monitoring and Control

Press release from the issuing company

Regensburg, Germany and Jersey City, N.J. - April 17, 2007 - OneVision, a global provider of prepress software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, introduces WorkSpace, a new software tool that provides prepress operators with quick access and comprehensive insight into their prepress production workflows. A browser-based solution that is easy to learn and use, WorkSpace allows printers and publishers to remotely monitor, track, manage, and control every job throughout the production process. WorkSpace serves as a remote monitor for Asura and Asura Pro, OneVision's flagship solutions that streamline and automate the preflighting, optimization and normalization processes in print production by automatically checking, correcting, and outputting to several formats, including PDF, EPS and PostScript. OneVision's WorkSpace software will be available for demonstrations for the first time at NEXPO in Orlando, April 21-24 at Booth #1867. WorkSpace provides real-time, streamlined views into every job within the prepress production cycle. For example, WorkSpace's Monitor feature automatically analyzes and clearly displays job tracking and statistics. Users can also start jobs, or drill-down to quickly check job status and obtain information such as the history, activity, and a thumbnail for any job. WorkSpace's Control feature enables authorized users to configure production settings and modify jobs within the queue. Standard processes, such as normalize, split, merge, print, and export can be easily incorporated into the workflow via a simple drag-and-drop procedure. Siobhain Towell, Vice President of Marketing, OneVision Inc., said, "OneVision has made a dedicated effort to build a software tool for Asura and Asura Pro that helps prepress managers and operators work more efficiently, by gaining a complete picture of many aspects of their production and publishing environment. Our customers regularly tell us how Asura and Asura Pro save them time by automatically spotting and fixing problematic files before they go to press, and they have also provided us with extensive feedback. The advances offered by WorkSpace are largely based on this feedback, and we feel the software is the next step in the evolution of our products." OneVision's software products are currently used by many of the world's leading printing and publishing companies. In the U.S., OneVision clients include Dow Jones & Company, Inc.; Gannett Co., Inc.; Pearson plc; Merrill Corporation; and R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company. Outside of the U.S., OneVision clients include Financial Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Sydney Morning Herald, Times of India and many more.
