Dalim Software to launch DIALOGUE ES at Print 09

Press release from the issuing company

Kehl, Germany – During Print 09, in booth 6839, Dalim Software, a global leader in the design and development of innovative and automated professional production workflow software for premedia, print, packaging and publishing, will launch DiALOGUE ES, an online approval platform. DiALOGUE ES is based on Dalim Software’s new ES system architecture to be rolled into other Dalim Software products in the future.

Presented earlier this year at Dalim Software’s 2009 user conferences, followed by a three-month private beta program, DiALOGUE ES is the first application to be based on the company’s new “ES” architecture, developed using XML, JDF and AJAX technologies and accessible using a standard web browser.

DiALOGUE ES is an innovative online softproofing and approval server—an easy-to-use, powerful and flexible system that handles all production-related proofing and approval tasks.  Integrating with any third-party workflow, DiALOGUE ES extends the geographical reach of reviews and reduces job cycle time, while saving the cost of printing and shipping hard-copy proofs.

The system features sophisticated user and role management tools catering for every production workflow participant (brands, creative, premedia, labels and packaging, publishing, print) and handling even the most complex approval processes.  DiALOGUE ES also offers easy-to-use, color-accurate softproofing of a variety of file formats using server-based closed-loop monitor calibration technology.

“DiALOGUE ES is the first of a new series of ES-powered solutions designed to give our customers a wealth of flexible and differentiated client services from a common platform,” says Christopher Graf, Dalim Software’s Chief Commercial Officer.  “DiALOGUE ES also includes a number of features designed for the labels and packaging market, reflecting our new corporate strategic initiative to develop best-of-breed offerings to the packaging production market, based on our extensive experience in production automation.”

Dalim Software will also showcase its award-winning workflow automation suite, DALiM TWiST. Using industry standards such as XML, JDF or bi-directional database connections, and with the unmatched flexibility and the seamless integration with 3rd party products, DALiM TWiST also acts as the “engine” behind customer facing web applications for web2print solutions or file delivery portals. Like all Dalim Software applications, it incorporates the Adobe® PDF Print Engine 2, helping to create exceptional file handling and output consistency, regardless of the output method or media.

DALiM TWiST is also the engine behind the DALiM MiSTRAL web interface for complete print production and planning, including fully automated imposition.

“Dalim Software has a tremendous heritage of introducing cutting-edge print production software, while maintaining a respect for open standards,” explains Graham Blanks, Dalim Software COO. “We view it as an obligation to maintain our reputation as a technology leader of innovative solutions, building on today’s standards and providing the technology direction for tomorrow. Dalim Software Looks forward to meeting companies at Print 09, to help them effectively complete challenging print production projects.”
