Fujifilm Sericol Introduces The World's Fastest Flatbed Digital Printer

(Kansas City, Kan.)…August 12, 2008 – Today, Fujifilm brought together several of its top partners to introduce the revolutionary Inca Onset…the world's fastest flatbed digital printer… and unveil their new Inkjet Solutions Center which houses some of the industry's most innovative digital printers.  Onset's high speed inkjet capability comes from a massive array of 576 printheads that deliver an amazing three billion ink drops per second, producing exceptional quality prints at an astounding 100+ beds per hour.

During a tour of Fujifilm Sericol's facility in Kansas City, Kansas, guests viewed a demonstration of the Onset as well as state-of-the-art inkjet development labs and digital demonstration center.  They also took part in a Q&A session with two Onset customers:  Mike Korth and David Manning from C2 Media (Englewood, CO), and Scott Crosby from Holland and Crosby (Mississauga, Ontario).

From August through October, printing professionals from around the country will be able to sign up for Onset demonstrations at the Inkjet Solutions Center.  Fujifilm expects to produce nearly 10,000 full bed 5 foot-by-10 foot printed sheets of material during its three months of Onset demonstrations.  Most of the prints will be shipped back to each customer.  However, some of the images printed to demonstrate the speed and quality of Onset will be donated to KVC Behavior Health Center, a Kansas City, Kansas organization that finds foster and adoptive homes for children.  KVC will use the donated materials to build awareness and help find homes for the children.
