Sir Speedy Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Press release from the issuing company

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., August 7, 2008- This August, and for the coming year, Sir Speedy locations around the world will be celebrating the company's 40th anniversary. When the first Sir Speedy printing center opened in Costa Mesa, California on August 16, 1968, it was quickly followed by 24 more franchised openings by mid-1969. The dream of independently owning a business continued to be fulfilled for many entrepreneurs and by 1973 there were more than 400 locations and Sir Speedy was named the fastest-growing franchise in the country.

"It's been 40 years of change and growth, and still our company remains a strong franchise network in an exciting industry," said Don Lowe, CEO of Sir Speedy, Inc, who joined the company in 1981. "We have consistently taken a leadership role in adopting new technologies to help our customers meet their business objectives. Our experience in North, Central and South America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe contribute to our industry-leading position worldwide. We are excited about our recently opened first location in India and see a bright future for our brand," he continued.

In the 1990s, Sir Speedy focused on helping companies with all their business document needs by providing short-run, quick-turnaround, full-color digital printing. The company also focused on international expansion and, today with its network of global affiliates, Sir Speedy extends to nearly 800 locations in 16 countries. In the early 2000s, Sir Speedy continued to help customers with their business communication needs by leveraging the power and convenience of the Internet and bringing Web-to-print capabilities to its customers, as well as online document management and personalized, one-to-one communications.

Today, Sir Speedy continues to help customers grow their businesses with expanded marketing services designed to help them meet their business objectives such as lead generation, customer retention, brand management and more.

"Our printing and marketing services bring even more opportunity for our network of franchisees," said Richard Lowe, president of Sir Speedy. "Working with customers to help them grow their business is the cornerstone of the Sir Speedy brand."

Based in Mission Viejo, California, Sir Speedy, Inc. has received numerous awards and recognition including the Franchise Times Top 200, Entrepreneur Franchise 500, Quick Printing Top 100, Printing Impressions 400 and a Franchise 50 Award.
