Bitstream to Debut Pageflex Campaign Tracking Features at On Demand

Press release from the issuing company

ON DEMAND Conference & Expo 2007 Booth #701 BOSTON--April 18, 2007-- Bitstream Inc., the leading provider of variable data and Web-to-print software for personalized marketing, announced today that it will be demonstrating robust new campaign tracking technology at the On Demand Conference and Exhibition, being held this week in Boston, Massachusetts. These campaign tracking features are available with the Pageflex product, and enable users to track each aspect of their marketing campaigns. This level of detail gives marketers a solid understanding of whether their marketing campaigns are effective and where they are getting the best return on their marketing investment. While most other products focus on tracking a single e-mail blast, the new campaign tracking features available from Pageflex enable users to take tracking to a new level. With Pageflex, users can track their campaign by individual media - print, email, personalized URLs - collectively or as a whole. For example, e-mails are tracked for the number sent the "Open" rate. Personalized URLs are tracked for the traffic on the site -- who clicked, when they clicked, and reports of survey results. Print is tracked for how many mailings went out and to whom. Users can track who responded to the personalized URL from the e-mail vs. who responded to the printed postcard. In all cases, individual recipients are tracked, and users can view statistics collectively per campaign, per campaign segment, or per user. Since the campaign is also "rolled up," you can see how many times a recipient was touched. This level of tracking supports the growing industry trend that requires marketers to be more accountable in all areas of their work while increasing the relationship with their customers. A survey done by the CMO Council, a group of Chief Marketing Officers from renown companies around the world, indicates that Chief Marketing Officers identified "quantify and measure the value of marketing programs and investments" as their number one challenge in 2007. They identified "improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing organization" as the second biggest challenge. The third biggest challenge was to "grow customer knowledge, insight and conversations." Anna Chagnon, President and CEO of Bitstream, Inc. noted, "Marketers are continually asked to be more and more accountable for their marketing activities. Increasingly, they need to know what impact the money they spend on their marketing initiatives is having on their organization. Pageflex keeps pace with that need by providing detailed statistics that enable them to report in fine detail the results of their campaigns. This kind of reporting gives marketers the confidence they need to make the right decisions for their organizations." The campaign tracking feature will be available in the Summer 2007.
