Anderberg-Lund buys Color Printing

Press release from the issuing company

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn.--(July 21, 2008) -- Family-owned, Twin-Cities based Anderberg-Lund Printing Company today announced the purchase of Edina, Minn.-based Color Printing, previously owned by Karen Walhof and Leonard Flachman. With talks beginning in late 2007, the acquisition was recently completed, and Anderberg has officially added Color Printing's accounts.

Heading a 1- and 2-color print shop, Walhof and Flachman realized digital printing capabilities and updated equipment were increasingly necessary for the company to remain competitive. With Flachman nearing retirement, they decided to sell their business to Anderberg, a local business with more than three decades of printing experience.

"Color Printing has done an exceptional job serving its clients, and we know that we will meet high expectations now that we've taken on its existing accounts," said Paul Anderberg, sales manager for Anderberg. "We will continue to give exceptional service to every one of Color Printing's clients because they are now part of the Anderberg family."

During the transition, former Color Printing co-owner, Karen Walhof, worked with Anderberg for 90 days to successfully transfer accounts and help Anderberg understand any of their customers' unique needs.

"We were really invested in the needs of our clients; therefore, customer service through this acquisition has been very important to us," said Walhof. "We have full confidence that Anderberg will service our customers with the same care and investment that we did."

In additional to Color Printing's customers, Anderberg will acquire two print presses and absorb some Color Printing employees.
