Chromaticity Introduces Online Training Modules for EFI Products
Press release from the issuing company
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., October 23, 2008 – Chromaticity, the leader in distribution and deployment of color management and digital imaging technologies for the print, publishing, packaging and wide format markets, unveiled today a new company web site that features the Chromaticity Color Certification Center, called "C4." Within this site, Chromaticity provides more than 80 self-paced learning modules designed to offer EFI's global customers, dealers and partners access to in-depth product instruction and training for:
- EFI Colorproof eXpress – entry level proofing RIP
- EFI Color Profiler Suite – enterprise class, digital print color management
- EFI Colorproof XF – contract quality proofing RIP
- EFI Fiery XF – production RIP for Vutek and other large format devices
- EFI XFlow – automated workflow tool for wide format market
"In this new economy, we all need to be greener and more efficient at what we do," says Mike DiCosola, vice president of service and technology at Chromaticity. "Online training can save local and long-distance travel costs, increase user retention and provide a more flexible and consistent overall learning experience when Rips and color management are deployed." DiCosola notes that custom on-site installations are frequently needed for more sophisticated workflow applications, but user retention of key concepts sky-rockets when the C4 curriculum is integrated with those on-site services.
Chromaticity is the sole distributor of EFI inkjet RIPs in North America. When visitors go to www.chromaticity.com, they're able to see automated overviews of EFI's graphic arts products as well as experience a 30-minute web-based demo of the EFI XF family of RIPs. The C4 Training and Learning portal then can be accessed from the main Chromaticity web site as a part of the installation and deployment process to gain access to tools that can reduce the need for travel, production schedule disruption, classroom training and on-site follow up. Visit the C4 Training Portal to view available courses, take a sample training course and register for programs. Resellers, customers and global partners all may benefit from this readily available curriculum.
Chromaticity offers a number of training programs designed to get the most out of the EFI product investment. Courses can be bundled and purchased at a discounted rate or individual courses can be selected to meet specific needs. Courses start at $29.99 and can be purchased through Chromaticity's web site.
The C4 suite of products can be seen in the EFI booth (#2000) at Graph Expo at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Ill. on October 26-29, 2008.
