Printware Introduces New Chem-Free InkJet Plates and CtP System

PAUL, MINNESOTA – October 22, 2008 – Printware, a leading manufacturer of high quality, high performance polyester silver-halide CtP solutions, announced today it will highlight a revolutionary new line of JetStream inkjet polyester plate materials designed for use in industry leading inkjet printers at Graph Expo, the country's largest printing exhibition in North America to be held in Chicago, IL October 26-29 in Booth 5211.
 
The Printware JetStream inkjet plates were designed especially for the small printer looking for the most cost effective plate for short run high quality printing. JetStream plates are designed to run through standard Epson proofing engines using off-the-shelf Epson ink eliminating the need for any chemistry processing of these high quality polyester printing plates. This same device can also be used to make proofs, further reducing operating costs.
 
Features of JetStream Inkjet Polyester systems include:
 
- Easy of use and Chemistry free: JetStream inkjet plates are sold in sheets to support all press plate sizes. The system includes a special purpose fuser that makes the plates press-ready. There are no "proprietary inks" required for plate imaging; standard Epson inkjet cartridges are utilized.

- State of the Art Software: The JetStream system includes a Harlequin-based Navigator RIP with interfaces to popular Epson inkjet proofing engines capable of imaging a plate in minutes.

- Low Cost – High Quality: Designed to complement process color capable CtP systems, JetStream polyester plates support high quality (133 lpi) screens and excellent registration for one, two and spot color print applications.

- Open Architecture Design: Like other Printware metal and polyester CtP systems JetStream plates provide the lowest total cost of ownership as they are designed to run with standard inkjet products providing printers an affordable solution regardless of volume.
