XDU University Program Heads to Drupa

Lutz, FL—May 20, 2008– Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today announced that it’s European Affiliates will host a half day program at Drupa, Dusseldorf, Germany on the June 3rd 2008 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM at the South Convention Center Dusseldorf, room 15. The program will be followed by an informal networking event with the European Xplor industry community at South Wintergarden 2.

    The Affiliate offices of Xplor France®, Xplor Italy® and Xplor UK & Ireland® are facilitating the event which will feature three industry experts lead by a keynote given by Frank Romano, EDP, professor of the School of Print Media, Rochester Institute of Technology, who will present on the topic of cross media integration and digital color printing. In addition, Ralf Schlozer, director of the On Demand Printing and Publishing Consulting Service at Infotrends Europe will present on the penetration of web-to-print applications in the digital printing market and the results of a recent Infotrends’ research. Wrapping up the half-day event will be Ingemar Persson, secretary general of PostEurope will provide a presentation on European postal liberalization and direct mail.

    As the industry’s largest event we fully expect Drupa to be well attended by Xplor’s European community, said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International. “In addition, I would like to recognize the efforts of James Shand, EDP, president of Xplor UK & Ireland, Enrico Barboglio, president of Xplor Italy and Jean Louis de LA SALLE, president of Xplor France for organizing an outstanding program.”
